Hey guys and gals,
How often do you take a break from your work? Do you chase the bag nonstop, regardless of the circumstances or effect it has on your health, or do you take breaks through the year? May I say that it’s not the amount of work you take on, but getting better work from artists who really want quality work, and will utilize your business for all of their projects. This way you can take necessary breaks from your craft, and not worry about if you’re missing any work. Treat yourself, don’t beat yourself!!

My people, my people. Exactly how long should you spend editing a song?
Let’s take in consideration that everything was recorded right, and there was very little retakes. Let’s also say that treatment was applied during recording, leaving touch ups in editing. I would say that about 6-8 hours on the song would be sufficient. Argue with me if you will, but with these things completed, another 3 hours in mastering should do it, don’t you agree?
Really, what I have done was, on the cool, give you a method that will save you time in the studio, if not per song then, per EP. With time, you to will develop a method in recording, that will save you time in pre and post. But, that’s just one of my methods, what’s yours?
#MustBeSaid!
I am on a different path this year. I’m moving forward to accomplish my goals. If I may quote the Bible, If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are past away behold, all things become new”. I’ve always been a follower of Christ. I’m not perfect, but I continue to trust Him and work on treating my fellow man, right. With that said: If I bless you with a tune or song, that item is yours. If you are in the lab with me while I’m working on something for myself, you do not have the right to create a song to that tune, unless you’ve bought it. What you’re doing is stealing, and I can’t stand a thief. Also if I find out that you’re doing it you are no longer welcome in my studio. I don’t care if you are wanting studio time. Your money is not the only money out there and I won’t miss it. Check yourself at the door.
