Has anyone of you ever looked into doing voiceovers? Do you need to have a voice that can imitate some of the most famous people in film? How much can you clear per job? These types of questions can be answered here. Usually, voice–over artists are paid per job. They can make anywhere from $20 to a couple hundred dollars for just an hour of work. I’ve tried them all, but none of them could match my results from cold calling and dealing directly with clients. Once I successfully eliminated the middleman, there was no turning back!

So would it be safe to say that cold calling is the best route for most if not all VO professionals?

I can’t say it’s the best for most, but it certainly works for me. It’s also important to note that anybody who wants to take this career seriously must be able to face constant rejection, be relentlessly patient and organized, and be 100% willing to build personal relationships with clients. Slow and steady wins the race!
