I’d like to take a break from helpful tips on recording and talk about your ears. Your ears are your most important instrument and attention to their health care is your obligation. Take the necessary breaks needed for resting your instruments and stay a capable engineer. Your clients will thank you.

Don’t underestimate yourself! You are the reason people love to see and hear. You are your greatest asset. Without you, they wouldn’t have a job. Don’t sell yourself short. You are important!!!

Don’t you get tired hearing about artists getting misused by their support group? Here they are presuming to be all in with you, and you not moving from the place where you started. Also, you’re being optimistic that the process takes time to get going. Please, they know that they have someone who doesn’t know anything about the business so, they record you from time to time just to keep you quiet. And you’re happy because you hear your voice played in the studio and given a copy for you to show your family and friends. The recording is not properly mixed and certainly not mastered. Something needs to change, and I’m going to move on it, one artist at a time. Look out world, here we come!
